Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center to benefit from Charles Schwab Cup Championship’s Tickets Fore Charity program

Foothills Food Bank benefit - Charles Schwab Cup ChampionshipFoothills Food Bank and Resource Center will benefit from the 2014 Charles Schwab Cup Championship’s Tickets Fore Charity program. The tournament will be held at the Desert Mountain Cochise Course in Scottsdale October 29 through November 2, 2014.

As part of the charity ticket sales program, 100% of all proceeds are returned to organizations to support people in need. To build on past success, Foothills Food Bank created, “Challenge for the Cup,” to spur ticket sales and to earn an additional contribution from Charles Schwab of up to $12,000.

All ticket purchases made directly from Foothills Food Bank will automatically be entered in a drawing for prizes. To purchase tickets, send a check made out to Foothills Food Bank for the desired number of $20 tickets, or, send your charge card information to:

Running With The Bulls 2014

Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center to benefit from sixth annual Running of the Bulls USA.  Running With the Bulls has just chosen Operation Hawkeye to be its national charity.   It's an organization that honors fallen soldiers, war vets and military foundations.

2014, Cave Creek, Arizona – The Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center will benefit from the sixth annual Running with the Bulls USA. The event will be held February 7-9, 2014 at the Hogs and Horses arena in Cave Creek, Ariz.

According to the food bank’s executive director, Pam DiPietro, Running with the Bulls USA has partnered with Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center to collect canned food during the festival. In addition to helping the extremely busy food bank, anyone who brings 25 cans or more will receive free spectator admission to the event.

Running with the Bulls USA offers 12 runs, family-friendly entertainment, a Battle of the Bands, festival exhibitors and cash prizes. In addition, a charity run will be held on February 7. Please read more for details...

The 5th Annual Cave Creek Balloon Festival returns Saturday, January 4th, 2014The 5th Annual Cave Creek Balloon Festival returns Saturday, January 4th, 2014.presented by Sanderson Lincoln & Ford, organized by Tonto Bar & Grill and Aerial Solutions.  3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday On the driving range of the Rancho Mañana Golf Course. 2013 Cave Creek Wild West Days Highlights

Wild West Days Cave Creek barrel riderThank you to everyone who came out to the Cave Creek, Arizona Wild West Days 2013!  It was a truly awesome weekend!  

Events included live western shows from Six Gun Entertainment and their outlaw bands and live music everywhere, including Pick'o the Litter at the Buffalo Chip and  Pat James at Hogs & Horses (which opened just in time) Western themed action and competitions included a demonstration of the skills involved in taming wild horses, barrel racing, bull riding, mounted shooting, and fast draw competitions.

The opening ceremony occurred Friday at the Buffalo Chip.  From then on throughout the three day long celebration, visitors continually enjoyed great food served at places such as The Smokehouse and a variety of drinks at bars such as the Pour House in the middle of Frontier Town, an area full of westerners and vendors of western themed merchandise all weekend, extending into the "Blood Creek" lot west of Frontier Town.  Click "Continue Reading" for photos and continued coverage.

Cave Creek Cactus Classic

Cave Creek Cactus ClassicLook!  There’s a new western handle for the annual Cave Creek Bicycle Festival.  It’s still part of our effort to preserve the desert habitat, to protect more than 4,000 acres of pristine desert habitat.  

The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9th.  It will involve mountain bikers using their bike gears and muscle power to ride 24 miles through bike trails in two Maricopa parks.  Both adults and kids will be involved.  The kids’ race will feature an in-town mountain bike course as well as a “strider” course for kids as young as two.
